The Post-Admissions Success Program
For African American students attending predominantly white institutions, support is essential at every stage of the college journey. These students often face gaps created by systems never originally designed with their success in mind. Those gaps can turn into real barriers—academic, social, and emotional. NEP provides the guidance needed to navigate those challenges with confidence, clarity, and a solid plan for success.
The Village to Vanguard Program is a two‑semester online curriculum designed to guide African American students through the unique pressures of attending a predominantly white university. Rooted in cultural affirmation and practical support, the program provides more than coursework — it offers a community.
Students receive monthly check‑ins to evaluate academic progress, emotional stability, and mental health, ensuring that challenges are addressed before they become barriers. In addition, monthly workshops create space for skill‑building, reflection, and connection, helping students strengthen resilience and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Outcome: Students move from surviving to leading — equipped with strategies, support, and confidence to transform their college experience into a pathway of success and legacy.
Village to Vanguard

A structured program that guides African American students and their families through what happens after the acceptance letter — making sure they can afford college, choose the right major, and map out a clear, successful 4–5 year journey.
This is where most students fail.
This is where you shine.

FAALL - Financial Aid Award Letter Literacy
The Financial Aid Award Letter Literacy (FAALL) course gives families the tools to decode college award letters, calculate their true out-of-pocket costs, and compare schools side by side — before the May 1st deadline. Most families receive award letters with no guidance on what the numbers actually mean, leaving them to make one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives in the dark. FAALL changes that with 8 video modules, interactive worksheets, and three built-in tools including the Financial Aid Decoder, Scholarship Tracker, and Off-Bill Living Budget. Whether you are choosing between a PWI and an HBCU, a public and a private school, or trying to figure out how much debt your student will actually carry — this course gives you the clarity to choose confidently.
